just for the Military Spouses of Newport!

Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine while Museum Docents share the history of our beautiful National Historic Griswold House, the pioneering artists and writers who led the Art Association of Newport, and its evolution into the Newport Art Museum. We’ll visit a curated selection of artworks in the permanent collection galleries, as well as our tremendous special exhibitions: Georgia O'Keeffe's "Things I Have No Words For" and Donnamaria Bruton's "From Sense to Soul". Our O'Keeffe exhibition features oil paintings, drawings and watercolors celebrating the artists exploration of abstraction that established her as one of the foundational American modernists. Bruton's exhibition features large mixed media works poetically depicting dreamy interiors and otherworldly landscapes.
